Dubai, Nov 20:After their impressive performance in the first Test against England,Cheteshwar Pujara and Pragyan Ojha earned their career-best Test rankings to be placed 24th and 5th in the ICC Test rankings for batsmen and bowlers respectively.
The 26-year-old, who recorded match figures of 77.2-24-165-9, has broken into the top five for the first time in his career after jumping nine places in the bowler rankings.The other Indian bowlers in the top-20 are pace spearhead Zaheer Khan (up one place to 14th and off-spinner R Ashwin (steady at 18th).
Cheteshwar Pujara jumped 35 places to earn his career-best Test ranking, having registered a double ton in the first innings and an unbeaten 41 in the second innings against England.
Virender Sehwag on the other hand, placed at 23, gained one place to achieve 22nd spot in ICC Test rankings for batsmen, after scoring his first Test century against England in the last two years.
